31. Opti-Team-Cup
The 31st edition of the International Optimist Team Cup hosted by Potsdamer Yacht Club will take place at Lake Wannsee, Berlin from October 25th to October 28th 2018.
Until August 24th the following teams have registered for the 2018 edition:
Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, USA LYC, Sweden, Ireland, Estonia, Ukraine, USA LISOT Black, Poland, Norway, Italy, Great Britain, Germany and the host team from the Potsdamer Yacht Club.
Based on the positive feedback from the team leaders of the 2017 edition, the organising committee has decided to extend the Optimist Team Cup by one day (total of three sailing days, Friday to Sunday) to give all participating teams more races.
Registration of teams will be on Thurday, October 25th, between 5.00 and 7.00 pm in the great hall of the PYC club house, follwed by team leader session at 7.00 pm.
Opening ceremony will be on Friday, October 26th at about 9.00 am and the starting signal for the first races is scheduled for 11.00 am.
Final races will take place on Sunday, October 28th with the price giving ceremony scheduled for about 4.00 pm in the late afternoon.
As in the past years the Potsdamer Yacht Club offers accommodation with families of the Club for the actual time period of the regatta (Thursday evening to Sunday morning) and a shuttle service for all teams traveling by plane or train.

Die 31. Ausgabe des Internationalen Optimist-Team-Cups, veranstaltet vom Potsdamer Yacht Club, findet vom 25. Oktober bis zum 28. Oktober 2018 auf dem Wannsee statt.
Bis zum 24. August 2018 haben die folgenden Mannschaften gemeldet:
Finnland, Dänemark, Niederlande, USA LYC, Schweden, Irland, Estland, Ukraine, USA LISOT Black, Polen, Norwegen, Italien, Grossbritannien, Deutschland und der Gastgeber Potsdamer Yacht Club.
Auf Grund der sehr positiven Rückmeldungen der Team Leader aus dem vergangenen Jahr hat das Organisationskomitee beschlossen, den Optimist-Team-Cup um einen Tag (insgesamt drei Segel-Tage, Freitag bis Sonntag) zu verlängern, um allen teilnehmenden Mannschaften mehr Rennen zu ermöglichen.
Die Registrierung findet am Donnerstag, den 25. Oktober, zwischen 17.00 und 19.00 Uhr in der großen Halle im Klubhaus statt. Das Teamleader-Meeting fängt um 19.00 Uhr an.
Die Eröffnungsfeier findet am Freitag, den 26. Oktober um etwa 9.00 Uhr am Flaggenmast statt, der Start für die ersten Wettfahrten ist für 11.00 Uhr eingeplant.
Die Finale finden am Sonntag, den 28. Oktober, statt. Die Siegerehrung ist für den späten Nachmittag, um ca. 16.00 bis 17.00, in der großen Halle im Klubhaus vorgesehen.
Wie in den vergangenen Jahren werden Familien des Potsdamer Yacht Clubs die internationalen Segler/innen für die Dauer der Regatta beherbergen.
